Ujjal Sarkar (son of Dr. Sarkar) is a very caring empathetic doctor. Best GP ever. These bad reviews are innacurate if theyre supposed to be about Ujjal.
Professionalism and patient care is lacking. Unfortunately I did not see other reviews prior making the mistake of going to Lincoln Road Medical Practice. What you will find are doctors with egos without empathy. For your own safety go else where!
wrong diagnosis, wrong referral, accused me of lying, then made up a completely *insane* diagnosis on the basis of some random thing i said to someone else on the phone. utterly negligent. i would sue this place if i had the money.
I booked an appointment with Dr. Sarkar (the head doctor) in January due to problems and discomfort that I was getting in my groin area, only to be told that everything was okay and I shouldn't worry about it. However the problems still persisted so I went for another appointment and was again told the same thing by Doctor Sarkar who also seemed to be quite bewildered on both occasions and would not accept my view that there was something wrong with me. So then after the problem still didn't go away I went to see another doctor at the surgery who also had the same attitude towards me on more than one occasion. I would spend the next year seeing a few different doctors at this surgery on a fairly regular basis (including Dr. Jayaratnam and Dr. Deo) due to this problem who all treated me in the same way and told me that the problem was nothing more than something psychological or to do with insecurities about my sexuality and that I shouldn't worry about it, and this was also before I had been given any type of physical examination which I really had to push them to do and didn't happen until a fair amount of time after my initial appointment. I believe that the reason I was treated in this way is because I have suffered with depression in the past so therefor have a label of 'mental illness' and also because I was diagnosed as having traits of 'aspergers syndrome' many years ago, or perhaps also because I live in a block of flats just around the corner to the surgery which I mentioned to some of the doctors there. In other words I believe that I was discriminated against by this surgery and the doctors would even seem to get quite embarrassed when I would go to see them about this problem. I would litrally go there sometimes and tell them that I had hardness in that area when there shouldnt be due to tension or swelling and they would seem to think that I was talking about getting an erection instead and become uncomfortable. But after more than a year of banging my head against the wall I got fed up with being treated in this way and decided to register with another practice the following year, only to find out from my new surgery that I actually had a hernia in my groin area which had been causing the problem. I certain would not recommend this practice at all and thank God that I did not have a more serious type of problem, because who knows what would have happened.
