Dated interior, dated menu and limited atmosphere. As per many pubs in the area, it is stuck in the 90's. Worth saying - this pub has great potential it just needs some investment. If another pub in the area gets there first this pub will be left in the dust.
Had Christmas dinner here last year and Boxing day dinner this year. I have to say that, this year, the food was cooked to perfection; perfect roast potatoes, tender turkey. Compliments to the chef. The only reason for 4 stars is that we had quite a long wait for the food, even though we booked a slot, and the pub could do with a bit of a refresh, especially the ladies.
Super dog friendly. Our little girl Della ( Toy Poodle ) was spoiled by the staff. Right by the canal with a little park nearby so great for a quick outside walk.
Really good atmosphere, excellent customer service throughout my visit.Food was well worth the money paid, and of a high standard. Great that I felt able to interact with the locals too, and wasn't ignored.There was also a large selection of real ales, which was fantastic to see.
Not bad for an Enfield pub. The staff are friendly and helpful if not the fastest. The food is pretty standard pub food but they've taken the time to think about vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. There's a lovely huge garden which is very popular in the summer but unfortunately the bar and kitchen often can't keep up on a sunny day.
