As a student finishing my seventh year here, I'd like to leave behind an honest review. Edmonton County School, which is now an academy, is split into two campuses, both of which teach years 7-11. Cambridge Campus was originally a grammar school, though was used in the second world war as a hospital. The school has changed a lot in seven years, getting better, and in December 2014 the school received a "GOOD" report from Ofsted. More recently, a primary block was built in Bury Campus, so students range from age 4-18. Many teachers are enthusiastic about their subjects, wanting what is best for their pupils, not to fulfil grade quotas. The art and design facilities are exceptional. Students are actively involved in how the school is regarded: doing charity volunteer work, teaching in the local primary schools. The sixth form organise charity events, and some parents have set up a coffee morning for autism awareness. Cambridge now hosts a Power League open to the public, whilst Bury has an Aspire Gym. Currently, the yearly Expressive Arts Exhibition is being set up, by students and teachers alike. Altogether, I cannot say that I've wasted my time at this school. It is a relatively safe learning environment, and if I could choose again, I would still choose Edmonton County.
