Never been so embarrassed to be a British citizen when I made a purchase in this Co-Operative branch and handed over a Royal Bank of Scotland 20 note only for the shop assistant (a British Woman) to call over another assistant and ask in front of every other customerDo we take these notes? . I fully understand that as a Scotsman working in London these things may happen if shop staff are ignorant of British currency notes but never been so embarrassed and humiliated in my life in front of other customers to be both Scottish and British! Ill never cross there door again, ignorant woman. Formal complaint being lodged with co-operative customer services also demanding an apology in writing.
Good customer service good prices with brilliant food
A selection of fresh British produce, I can say their Meat/Poultry and fresh vegetables are always of to a higher standard. Might be a small store but they sure pack a lot in. Can be busy at times but have found staff to be friendly and helpful. Longer opening hours are also convenient if you have forgotten something. Also has a ATM in store and a pretty selection of fresh flowers.
I am a regular of the Co op. Both at the Holly bush convenience store & the 102 Lancaster Rd store. As I have difficulty walking very far I rely on assistance/help with shopping. I have found staff @ both shops excellent. They reserve goods for me when I ring them up & this is a huge help when items are popular & go out of stock quickly. Ashley & Michael at the Holly bush branch have been a great help to me. I really think it is only fair to give credit where it is due. Nobody has ever been rude to me. Love the food (when I can get it lol) thank you to all.C.Bloomfield.
Staff are rude, swear a lot, and have no respect for each other... there are not customer friendly. Also they do not open as advertised on the front facade which is really frustrating.
